Gray Bear Golf Course was opened on 8. August 2002. It is situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Low Tatras National Park , in the Tále recreation center with a completely built infrastructure. The golf center covers an area of approximately 60 hectares.

The golf course was designed by the American company International Golf Course Design South Carolina with designers Bob Walton and Skip Malek. The course was run by the Scottish company Southern Golf Ltd.

The scenery of the mountain valley is rich in natural beauty and its natural landmarks are streams, rocky boulders, massive firs and spruces.

However, the design of the 6,296-meter -long course is clear and all holes are correct, despite the fact that their difficulty requires more humility and precise play with irons. The pair is 71.

Gray Bear is a golf course that uses walking and the tees are a short distance from the greens, which uniquely copy the terrain. Typically hard playing surfaces are covered with a mixture of fescue that mimics the grass found on British Open courses in Scotland.
